We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) is a ministry to youths aged 13 to young adulthood. We are the youth ministry of Adam Road Presbyterian Church. BASIC disciples young people for lifelong discipleship, bringing them the gospel and encouraging them to maturity as Christian adults. Our time together includes structured activities like regular Bible studies, fellowship meetings and training sessions, as well as informal fun and games, socials and outings.

BASIC has a strong commitment to evangelize the unreached. New friends are always welcome to explore the Bible with us as we seek to expand God’s Kingdom. At the same time, we aim to edify believers, building them up in God’s Word. To this end, we identify, equip and train mature Christian youths to lead others and serve one another.

Eventually we hope to “export” our young people, prepared and active in God’s service, to our adult congregations. An important step is for parents and their teenage children to continue to attend Services and worship together apart from going to BASIC. We started with this goal and keep this as a healthy expression of being united as God’s Family.

We meet each Saturday from 5-7pm at Kuo Chuan Chapel. We have an informal time of indoor & outdoor games from 3-5pm once a month and formal big group & small group gatherings from 5-7pm.
